Posting Overview
The Bus Driver has the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety and welfare of children, staff and volunteers during transportation. This is a full time, year-round position that includes an excellent benefit package.
Requirements
- A valid Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities School Bus certificate
- A valid Massachusetts CDL with passenger endorsement
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- At least 21 years of age
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Health Card
- Ability to lift children up to 40 pounds
- Ability to relate to and work well with children
- High level of professionalism and diplomacy working with children, parents, co-workers and
management - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attend additional training as required by AFCC or licensing source
- Attend regular meetings and communicate with other AFCC staff on training related topics
