Families with School Age Children 8/19/2020

Dear Parents,

We know that for parents with school age children, there are still questions about what school will look like this year. We don’t have all the answers but wanted to outline what you can expect for a timeline and sequence. Lowell Public Schools is asking families to consider a fulltime in-person or virtual program, while charter schools and private schools are proposing their own separate plans. If you have any questions, please reach out directly to your child’s school. If you are not receiving updates through mail or email from your child’s school, contact them immediately. Most schools have been good about putting their plans and additional information on their website and social media.

If Your Child Attends Lowell Public Schools

  • Between August 19-27, you must declare if you want your child to attend school in-person or remotely.
  • If you do NOT respond to this form, your child will AUTOMATICALLY be enrolled in remote learning.
  • For families choosing in-person leaning, you should be notified September 4th of your school placement. In-person learning and school choice are not guaranteed.
  • Once you receive confirmation of your child’s placement, or if you have selected virtual learning, please call the Acre Family office to inform us.
    • We cannot guarantee transportation or childcare if we do not have this information.
